Introduction to Access 2007 - Part 1

This workshop will introduce you to database basics using Microsoft Access 2007 including

  • Overview of MS Access
  • Understanding Database Objects and terminology
  • Using an Existing Database
  • Creating and Using Tables

Since Excel and Access share terminology and concepts, registrants for this workshop should be comfortable with Excel or should have taken the Excel Part 1 and Excel Part 2 workshops offered by OIT workshops. The first half of this workshop, will serve as a overview of Access and using an existing Access database. The second half will focus on Creating and Using tables.

This workshop is the first of a four-part Access series. We recommend that you register for all 4 parts.

Workshop Pre-Requisites
Excel Part 1 and 2 or equivalent experience strongly recommended and familiarity with the Office 2007 interface. Using the New Office 2007 Interface
